A strange incident has been seen in the Pakistan Super League. According to reports, lakhs of rupees have been stolen from the Gaddafi Stadium in the midst of this tournament. No information has been given in this regard by the Pakistan Cricket Board or the officials of Gaddafi Stadium. However, CCTV cameras, batteries for generators for lighting the stadium and fiber cables for CCTV cameras, among other things, were reportedly stolen from Gaddafi Stadium. The value of the stolen items is more than 10 lakh Pakistani rupees. According to local media, the officials of the Gaddafi Stadium have lodged a complaint of theft with the Gulberg police station.

There is already a rift in the middle. In such a situation, the theft in the stadium has put the Pakistan Super League in a difficult situation.

The future of the upcoming matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi is not decided. There is a dispute between the PCB and the interim Punjab government over the apparent 'security expenditure'. According to reports, the total cost of security arrangements at the venues is around 500 million Pakistani rupees. However, the Punjab government is reportedly ready to pay only 250 million Pakistani rupees and wants the Pakistan Cricket Board to bear the remaining 50 percent of the cost.

The Pakistan board is not ready to do that. The board says that it is the duty of the provincial government to pay for the security expenses. If the dispute is not resolved, the matches are likely to be shifted to Lahore. Former PCB chairman Rameez Raja believes that if such a change takes place in the PSL, it will cause huge losses.

On this matter, Rameez Raja had said, "PSL VIII not being played in Lahore/Rawalpindi would be a big loss. It was based on home and away concept. Having matches in only one city would kill the enthusiasm of the tournament among the fans. "
