Sanjay Raut trapped by calling Vidhimandal as Choramandal, Speaker orders inquiry, uproar in assembly too

These MLAs of the opposition besieged the BJP government regarding the increase in the prices of farmers and LPG gas.

There was a lot of uproar during the assembly session in Maharashtra on Wednesday. The Bharatiya Janata Party raised the issue of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's statement. It is alleged that Raut had called the members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly 'thieves'. Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar has also taken this matter seriously. He has ordered an inquiry against Raut. The Speaker has asked to complete the investigation within two days and submit the report. Explain that while talking to reporters in Kolhapur, Raut allegedly referred to the "Vidhimandal" (legislature) as "Choramandal".

What did the BJP members say? 

Raised the issue of the statement in the assembly. He said that the MLAs are being called thieves and this is an insult to the state. Another BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar also attacked Raut on the issue. Said that he has given a notice of breach of privilege against Rajya Sabha member Raut and urged Speaker Rahul Narvekar to accept it.

Opposition parties also condemned

Rather the members of their allies have also stood up. Leader of the Opposition Ajit Pawar and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Balasaheb Thorat also said that making such remarks was unacceptable. Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress are allies of the Shiv Sena (UBT). Thorat said, 'What exactly was said needs to be checked. Also, one should be careful what is said in the House. We have also been called traitors.
