Gunner Raghavendra, who was injured during the killing of witness Umesh Pal in the Rajupal murder case in Prayagraj, died on Wednesday.

Gunner Raghavendra, who was injured during the killing of witness Umesh Pal in the Rajupal murder case in Prayagraj, died on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Apex Trauma Center of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Raghavendra was admitted to the Apex Trauma Center on Saturday night. Director of the Institute Prof. RK Dhiman told that Raghavendra was hit by bullet and there were many wounds on his body due to gunpowder. Due to this the infection had spread in his body. A special team was deployed to treat the patient. The team of doctors put him on ventilator in the ICU. Despite his best efforts, he could not be saved. He died on Wednesday evening around quarter to six.

Gunner was sent to PGI by making a green corridor

Gunner Raghavendra, who was injured by bombs and bullets during the murder of witness Umesh Pal, was referred from Prayagraj to Lucknow PGI on Sunday evening. The ambulance covered 186 km in 2 hours 24 minutes in the green corridor created during this period. 

Raghavendra's father Ramsumer Singh, a resident of Korihar village in Lalganj area, was a constable in the police department, who died of illness. Raghavendra had got a job as a dependent of the deceased. The family consists of mother Aruna, sister Archana and brother Gyanendra. Raghavendra's marriage was also fixed on May 5. In the incident in Prayagraj, the criminals shot at Raghavendra while attacking him with a bomb, due to which he was seriously injured.
