Britain's Foreign Secretary James Cleverley said on Wednesday that his country would review the security of the
Indian High Commission in London. Earlier this week, the Punjab Police launched a crackdown against pro-Khalistan activist Amritpal Singh and his associates. After which some of his supporters abroad attacked the
Indian High Commission. Khalistan supporters also insulted the tricolor by climbing on the first floor of the building.
India's Ministry of External Affairs gave a strong response
India sought to identify and arrest and prosecute those involved in the incident and take measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future. Apart from this, the Ministry of External Affairs had expressed its protest by summoning Britain's top diplomat in
India.
More than 100 police officers guarding outside the High Commission
On Sunday, crowds gathered outside the High Commission and windows were vandalised, after which
India sought an explanation for the
British security absence around the compound. The newspaper 'The Hindu' reported on Wednesday that at least 100 police officers stood guard on both sides of the road outside the
Indian High Commission in London.

The British High Commissioner said – the attack is condemnable and unacceptable
also condemned the attack. The
British High Commissioner tweeted, "I condemn today's shameful act by the people and at the premises of the High Commission of
India, it is completely unacceptable."
