Population of Nepal increased by 25 lakhs in 11 years, figures released by PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal

The population of Nepal has increased by 2.5 million in 11 years. In this form, every year an increase in the population of the country was recorded by a little more than two lakhs. Census was conducted in Nepal in November 2021. The census figures were released on Friday.

The population of Nepal has increased to 2,91,64,578. The population of the country was recorded at 2,64,94,504 in the 2011 census. The figures were released by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at a function in Kathmandu. According to observers, this census has been conducted for the first time after the adoption of the federal system in the country. In this, Bagmati has emerged as the most populous province.
