Nikhat Zareen has become the world champion for the second time in a row.

India has got the third gold medal in the Women's World Boxing Championship. Nikhat Zareen has won the gold medal in the 48-50 kg weight category. Nikhat defeated Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam in the final. This is her second consecutive gold medal in the World Championship. Before Nikhat, Neetu Gangas (45-48 kg) and Sweety Bora (75-81 kg) had won gold medals in the weight category on Saturday. This is Nikhat Zareen's second gold medal in the World Championship. She had won the gold medal in the 52 kg weight category last year.

Nikhat was completely dominating in the first round. She did not give any chance to the opposition boxer. She took a 5-0 lead in the first round itself. In the second round, the boxer of Vietnam, who reached the final of the World Championship for the first time, made a comeback. But, Nikhat also rained her punches on the opposition boxer when she got the opportunity. However, the second round was won by the Vietnamese boxer 3-2.

The third round was also tough. Nikhat and Vietnam's boxer showed their full strength. Following the path given by the coach, Nikhat kept a distance from the opposition boxer and applied excellent uppercuts and jabs. After this, the referee stopped the match and inquired about the condition of the Vietnamese boxer. Just from here, Nikhat's victory was almost decided and in the end, Nikhat won this bout 5-0 and won the gold medal of the World Boxing Championship for the second time in a row.
