Wrestlers filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding registration of an FIR against Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. In the petition, the wrestlers have said that they are being forced to wander from door to door for justice. In their petition, the wrestlers said that the attitude of the police towards the complainants was quite shocking. This is gross injustice. This is a clear violation of their basic human rights.

In the petition, the wrestlers have said that the police have taken the complaint, but they have not been given the formal receipt of the complaint. Wrestlers have said in their petition that according to the print media, it is being told that the accused has been given a clean cheat in this case. The report of the inquiry committee is lying in the Sports Ministry. The report is not being made public despite our requests.

Wrestlers made many allegations

The wrestlers also state that despite being subjected to sexual, emotional, mental and physical abuse on several occasions by the accused and his associates, the petitioners along with other wrestlers have mustered the courage to raise their voice against it. They have sat on a dharna at Jantar Mantar demanding action against the culprits. Explain that after the allegations of wrestlers, the Sports Ministry had decided to constitute a monitoring committee on January 23, 2023 to investigate the matter. This monitoring committee had also recorded the statements of the victims. Wrestlers have said in their petition that it is sad that even after the formation of the committee, no concrete steps have been taken to solve this serious issue.

Wrestlers have said in their petition that the petitioner is that woman wrestler of the country who has made the country proud through her hard work and dedication and dedicated her life. But alas, these women Olympians have been subjected to exploitation by individuals who are taking advantage of their weaknesses. The wrestlers said in their petition that the accused is an influential person. He is misusing the process of law to evade justice. Here, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Delhi Police asking it to file a reply on the petition of the wrestlers. Now the matter will be heard on Friday.
