In the violent clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Galvan in the year 2020, Deepak Singh, the hero of the Bihar Regiment, was killed. Now news has come that Naik Deepak Singh's wife Rekha Singh has joined the army and she has been commissioned in the army as a lieutenant. The special thing is that Rekha Singh has been given the first posting on LAC in East Ladakh.

Rekha became an officer after one year of training

Rekha Singh has completed one year training from the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, after which she was inducted into the army as a lieutenant. Let us tell you that Naik Deepak Singh, husband of Lieutenant Rekha Singh, was posted in the 16th Battalion of the Bihar Regiment and was martyred in the year 2020 in a clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galvan Valley of eastern Ladakh. Naik Deepak Singh was posthumously awarded the Vir Chakra in 2021.

Deepak Singh was martyred only after eight months of marriage

The Indian Army tweeted, "Female Cadet Rekha Singh, wife of late Naik Deepak Singh, has been commissioned in the Indian Army. He has completed his training from Officers Training Academy, Chennai. Deepak Singh had joined the army in the year 2012 and was posted as a nursing staff in the Bihar Regiment. In January 2020, he was posted in Ladakh but after about five months, Naik Deepak Singh was martyred in an encounter with Chinese soldiers. He was married to Rekha Singh only eight months before his martyrdom. Now Rekha Singh has set a new example by joining the army.
