Uma Krishnaiah has demanded to send Anand Mohan back to jail.

Uma Krishnaiah, wife of late IAS G Krishnaiah, has approached the Supreme Court against the release of Bahubali and former MP Anand Mohan. He filed a petition in the court. He has demanded to send Anand Mohan to jail again. He says that Anand Mohan was earlier sentenced to death for the murder of the late IAS officer and the then DM of Gopalganj. Later it was life imprisonment but Nitish government released Anand Mohan for Rajput vote bank. Uma Krishnaiah believes that life imprisonment means jail till the last breath but Anand Mohan was released.

Amending the rule and bringing it out is not a good decision

Even before this, the wife of Uma Krishnaiah, wife of late IAS G. Krishnaiah, had said that it is not a good decision to bring out Anand Mohan by amending the rule. It is not looking good. There is caste politics in Bihar. Anand Mohan is a Rajput and if he comes out, he will get Rajput votes. That's why he is brought out. What is the need to bring out the criminal. That Chief Minister also got involved in this. Rajputs will get votes in the election.

Padma had said this as soon as Anand Mohan was released

Padma, daughter of late IAS officer G Krishnaiah, had said that Anand Mohan's release from jail is a matter of great sadness for us. The decision to release is wrong. We will appeal against this decision of Bihar government. I request Nitish Kumar ji to reconsider this decision. With this decision, his government has set a wrong precedent. This is not just an injustice to one family but to the entire nation. Padma had said these things in Hyderabad. Just 2 days after this, his mother Uma Krishnaiah filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

This was done keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections

Reacting to the release of Anand Mohan, BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi said that again the Nitish government was targeted. Sumo said that you have diluted the law to leave out one particular person. If our party was demanding release, it was not because you should change the rules and release someone. If you have changed the law, we are opposing it. You did all this for your political interest. This political decision has been taken keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
