Similar is the condition of the residence of DK Shivakumar, the second biggest leader after Siddaramaiah in Karnataka. His supporters have also started congratulating him for becoming the chief minister by putting up posters. In Karnataka, both these leaders are considered to be the strongest contenders for the post of Chief Minister. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that the Chief Minister of Karnataka will be selected in the Legislature Party meeting.

Significantly, in the Karnataka assembly elections, the Congress has won 136 seats by performing strongly. At the same time, BJP had to lose power with a heavy loss. After this, everyone's eyes are fixed on whom the Congress will declare as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka.
