Allahabad High Court: The Allahabad High Court at Prayagraj has said in an important remark that the address named in the insurance policy

If you and your family have taken any type of insurance, then this news is for you. An order of the High Court has given a relief decision for the nominee. Now if you are a nominee in any insurance, then you do not need to give a succession certificate, that means you are not bound for this. If you want to give voluntarily then there is no problem.

In an important remark, the Allahabad High Court at Prayagraj has said that in the event of the death of the insured husband, the wife named in the insurance policy is not required to give the succession certificate along with the demand for the sum assured. He is entitled to receive the payment as a nominee. This order has been given by the division bench of Justice MC Tripathi and Justice Manjiv Shukla while accepting the reconsideration application of Azamgarh resident Savita Devi.

The court had ordered the payment of the insurance amount but the insurance company refused to pay the wife named in the policy saying that there was a succession dispute going on.

This was the matter.

DK Raghuvanshi, the advocate of the petition, said that Savita Devi's husband Brijesh Kumar Maurya was an assistant teacher in Jalaun. He had an insurance of ten lakhs. When the wife claimed after his death, the mother-in-law had protested, which the court ordered while accepting the reconsideration petition.
