After vigilance, the difficulties of IAS Ram Bilas Yadav of Uttarakhand cadre are going to increase further in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has written a letter to the government to take action against him for indulging in corruption.

A senior official of the recruitment department has confirmed this. The case is said to be related to the direct allotment of residential and commercial plots against the rules during Ram Bilas Yadav's tenure as secretary in the LDA.

If the sources of the Recruitment Department are to be believed, then due to the change in cadre of Ram Bilas Yadav, these complaints will be sent to the Uttarakhand Government for action. Let us inform that Ram Bilas Yadav, who was posted on important posts in Mandi Parishad, LDA, Lucknow Municipal Corporation in the previous SP government, got his cadre changed to Uttarakhand when the BJP government came to power.

Actually, Lucknow resident social worker Hemant Kumar Mishra had complained against him to the government. This complaint was sent to the Uttarakhand government, after which Vigilance of Uttarakhand registered a case and raided more than half a dozen places of Ram Bilas Yadav including Lucknow, Ghazipur, Dehradun in July 2022. A month before this, the Uttarakhand government had also suspended Ram Bilas for not cooperating in the investigation.

Huge assets raised between 2013 and 2016

Uttarakhand Vigilance's investigation revealed that Ram Bilas Yadav acquired movable and immovable properties worth 500 times more than his total income between 2013 and 2016. During this period, he earned Rs 78.51 lakh as salary, while he spent Rs 21.40 crore in acquiring movable and immovable assets.
