Gujarat ATS has arrested four terrorists from Ahmedabad.

Gujarat ATS has arrested four terrorists from Ahmedabad. On Monday, the officer of Anti Terrorist Squad, Gujarat told that all the four terrorists are members of Al-Qaeda. All four are residents of Bangladesh, who currently lived in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat ATS Deepan Bhadran told that all four were trained by their commanders in Bangladesh before being sent to India. The four were responsible for arranging funding for Al Qaeda, which is spent on the organization's illegal activities. Apart from this, the four were also assigned the task of radicalizing the local youth as well as persuading them to join terrorist organizations. The official said that FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 38, 39 and 40 of the UAPA. Bhadran told that the terrorists were caught from different parts of the district.

Fake Aadhaar card and PAN card also seized

The officer said that we had received information, on the basis of which we had first arrested Sojib, who lives in Rakhial area of Ahmedabad. He was interrogated. Sojib told that he had come from Bangladesh along with his three other companions. He works for Al Qaeda. As per information received by Sojib, ATS has arrested Munna, Azharul and Mominul from Narol area of the district. All four were working in factories as Indian citizens. ATS said that Aadhaar card, PAN card and some literature of the terrorist organization have been seized from the room of the accused.

Team is investigating

Sojib told during interrogation that before coming to India, he was informed about the use of encrypted chat application and VPN. He also got Aadhaar and PAN card made with forged documents. According to the ATS officer, he had also radicalized two people. Apart from this, he was in contact with the youth of different states. The team is probing other points including who helped them in making forged documents to bring them from Bangladesh to India.
