He has been admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
Even before this, once Satyendar Jain had fallen in the toilet and had a serious spinal injury. Jain was taken to Safdarjung Hospital on Monday due to ill health. Jain has been lodged in Tihar Jail since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in May last year in a money laundering case.
A photo of Satyendar Jain also came to the fore on Monday. According to AAP, Jain looked unwell and weak in the photo. He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wanted to kill him. A spokesperson of Safdarjung Hospital said, Jain came to the Neurosurgery OPD (Out Patient Department) in the morning and went back after being examined by the doctors there. Police was also present with them.
Wishing him a speedy recovery, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, I pray to God for the better health of Satyendar Jain ji. Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Jain in the Supreme Court, had told the court last week that the former minister had lost 35 kg, had become a bone structure and was also suffering from several ailments.
