Politics has intensified after the superstructure of the bridge being built on the river Ganga collapsed for the second time. The leaders of Grand Alliance and BJP have started targeting each other. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that Additional Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit Path has directed the construction department to conduct a detailed inquiry into the collapse of the super structure of the bridge and ensure strict action by identifying the culprits. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said that the flawed design of the bridge under construction, which collapsed today, was also being thoroughly investigated by the experts of IIT Roorkee. It was feared that it would fall.

Flaw in the design of the bridge itself

Tejashwi Yadav said that the Bihar government was apprehensive that there was something wrong with the design of the bridge itself. It was being investigated by the IIT Roorkee team. Many segments were already broken by our department earlier. There were repeated complaints about this. After investigation, we dismantled several segments as there was a fault in its design. It was our decision to demolish it completely because we don't want to take the risk. In any case, this bridge will be constructed again. Tejashwi Yadav made it clear that the government will recover the money in this case only from the company that constructed the bridge.

Union minister said – CM Nitish should resign

At the same time, the BJP has fiercely attacked the government of the Grand Alliance. Union Minister Ashwini Choubey has even demanded his resignation from CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav. He said that the uncle-nephew should resign, taking moral responsibility for the bridge collapse. This under-construction bridge has fallen twice. If there is even an iota of morality left in Nitish Kumar, he should resign immediately.
