Former IPS Officer Commits Suicide: Retired IPS Dinesh Sharma shot himself with a licensed revolver on Tuesday in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that he was in depression. A suicide note has also been found from the spot, where he has blamed himself for his death.

Joint Police Commissioner Crime Nilabja Chowdhary said that former police officer Dinesh Sharma suddenly shot from his room at his residence in Gomti Nagar on Tuesday. The reasons are being ascertained now. Post mortem of the body is being done. The entire matter is being investigated.

Local people told that there was a loud sound of firing from his residence. After this, the relatives reached his room, where he was found soaked in blood. In a hurry, he was taken to the hospital and the police were also informed about it.

The police have recovered the suicide note from the spot. Although the reasons for the suicide have not been disclosed yet. The suicide of a person who was an IPS officer is being considered as a shocking step. According to the information received from the local people, he was suffering from depression for the last several days. He was also undergoing treatment for depression.
