They used to convert children and youth under the guise of online gaming. The scope of this gang is spread over six states of the country. Its strings are also connecting with fugitive Zakir Naik. The matter of getting funding from Pakistan has also come to the fore. There have been many revelations in this matter. Let us know how this game of conversion was going on? How were the youth and children being targeted through this?

First know the whole matter

A gang was busted in Ghaziabad. The disclosure happened on the complaint of an entrepreneur living in Rajnagar, Ghaziabad. The entrepreneur's 17-year-old son had converted to Islam. He used to lie at home and go to offer Namaz for five times. When the father got suspicious, he followed the son. After this it came to know that his son goes to the mosque and offers Namaz. When he questioned the son, he accepted that he had converted to Islam. The entrepreneur immediately complained about this to the police.

On June 4, the Ghaziabad police arrested Abdul Rehman, the cleric of the mosque, in this case. During interrogation and investigation, it was found that the boy was brainwashed through online gaming apps Fortnight and Discord. First he was defeated in this game, then asked to read Quran to win.

When he started reciting Quran, the people in front started making him win. After this the young man felt that he was winning by reciting the Quran. Then his faith in Islam increased. After this he started going to the mosque to offer Namaz.

Police investigation so far has revealed that this gang is spread not only in UP but in many states of the country. Its wires have been connected from fugitive Zakir Naik to Pakistan. In this, the name of Khan Shahnawaz Maqsood alias Baddo of Mumbai surfaced. Now he is absconding.

It has also come to know that 300 to 400 people have been converted online in Maharashtra. A person from Gujarat has shared many important information related to this to the Ghaziabad Police. Many videos and audios are also in the hands of the police.

In Madhya Pradesh too, the ATS had arrested 16 people of the conversion gang last month. All of them were also converting in different ways. Police investigation has revealed that this gang is spread in UP, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh as well as states like Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Delhi.

How do they get conversion done?

1. Through gaming app: As per the investigation so far online gaming app Fortnight and Discord runs. It is promoted through social media. In this, the greed of winning the prize is given. Many such gaming apps are running on social media these days.

It is not downloaded through the Google Play-Store, but directly through the website. The gangs active on this gaming app used to play games by creating IDs with Hindu names. When game users used to show their faith in Islam, then these gangs used to make them fanatics. For this, video speeches of banned Islamic scholar Zakir Naik were played. They were provided with Islamic literature. About Islam was told. When the child completely falls under their trap, they are converted. Many types of greed are also given for this.

2. Support of YouTube and Reels: It is being claimed that small children, boys and girls from poor households are on target. Reels related to Islam are posted on YouTube and Instagram. Muslim boys create fake IDs with many non-Islamic names and share such posts on YouTube and reels in which Islam is praised.

In this it is shown that people associated with Islam are very good and helpful. Those who show more interest on such posts, people associated with Islam talk to them to increase more followers. Posts related to the goodness of Islam are made from such non-Islamic people and then they are made viral.

With the increase in followers and likes on posts, children start showing more interest towards Islam. Gangs who convert take advantage of this. Police investigation has revealed that the four minor boys from Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Chandigarh who were being tried for religious conversion were all associated with a YouTube channel named 'Youth Club'.

Police claims that this channel is operated from Pakistan. It has more than 12 lakh subscribers on YouTube. Islamic scholars used to put their videos on this channel. A large number of subscribers are also Christian boys who have already converted.
