Big success of Gujarat ATS: ISIS module busted, 4 suspects including 1 woman arrested from Porbandar
Gujarat ATS has exposed a module of terrorist organization ISIS. ATS has arrested four people including a woman from Porbandar. While several teams are conducting raids to nab one more person. ATS told that in this case a Surat woman named Sumera has been arrested. The four arrested are members of the active group of ISIS. Gujarat ATS has found many banned items during the raid. All four were trying to escape to join ISIS. All of them were in contact with each other for the last one year and were radicalized at the behest of their masters from across the border.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently busted a terror module linked to ISIS in Madhya Pradesh by arresting three people. The arrests were made by the investigating agency NIA during overnight raids at 13 places in Jabalpur in a joint operation led by the Intelligence Department along with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Madhya Pradesh Police. The three people arrested were identified as Syed Mamoor Ali, Mohd Adil Khan and Mohd Shahid.
The NIA also seized sharp-edged weapons, ammunition, incriminating documents and digital equipment from the possession of these people during the raids. The NIA had registered a case on May 24 during its probe into Khan's pro-ISIS activities, which came to the notice of the agency in August last year. The NIA found that he and his associates were using social media platforms to carry out terrorist attacks in India at the behest of ISIS. This module has been holding meetings in local mosques and homes and conspiring to spread terror in the country.
