Earlier, towers D, E and F of Chintels Paradiso Society were declared unsafe after a structural audit. There are total nine towers in the society.

The Gurugram administration has ordered residents of another tower in Chintels Paradiso Society, Sector 109, to vacate their flats within 15 days. In the recent audit report, the structure of this tower was declared unsafe for the residents.

After the housing society's G Tower was declared unsafe in the June 2 audit report of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav on Tuesday issued an order to the residents of the tower to vacate the flats.

Some towers have already been declared unsafe

Earlier, towers D, E, and F were declared unsafe after a structural audit. There are a total of nine towers in the society. Last year, two people lost their lives when D Tower partially collapsed.

District Town Planner (Enforcement) has been appointed as Nodal Officer and Duty Magistrate to get the tower vacated. There are 56 flats in the 14-story G Tower.

'What does the government order say'

The order reads, 'Using the powers vested in Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, there is a need to vacate the tower. Legal action will be taken against those who violate the orders under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

'Can't compromise with the safety of the residents

Yadav said, ' We can't compromise with the safety of the residents. They need to leave their society for their safety. We are confident and guarantee that the repurchase agreement will be implemented.
