A petition has been filed in the High Court against the wrong portrayal of Hindu deities Ram, Sita, Hanuman and Ravana in the film Adipurush. In the petition, till the removal of the disputed scene, it has been demanded not to display it in cinema halls and not to give it a certificate from the censor board.

This petition has been filed by Vishnu Gupta, National President of Hindu Sena. He has said in his petition that the idols of Hindus have been shown in a controversial manner in the film. While this kind of depiction has not been done in any Ramayana. This is how the filmmaker has made fun of the gods.

It has been said in the petition that it should be banned and directed not to display it till the disputed scenes are removed. The petitioner has made the Central Government, Censor Board, Tamil Nadu Government, filmmaker Om Raut and T-Series as respondents in the case.
