In Uttar Pradesh, 1 lakh 44 thousand 220 poor people are going to get their homes in the month of August. In fact, on the letter of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the center has approved Prime Minister's residence for poor villagers. After which now the state government will complete the process of providing houses to the villagers in UP by 13th August. With this, UP will become the state which has achieved 100% target of sanctioning maximum number of houses. Along with providing houses to the poor, it will become a state which will provide 21,68,574 houses.

Let us tell you that on May 18, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote a letter to the Ministry of Rural Development to allot additional housing in UP. On Friday, through a letter to Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development, the ministry informed about the acceptance of additional accommodation. The Ministry has told the Rural Development Department that the scheme has been extended till March 2024 to achieve the target of 2.95 crore houses.

It should be noted that these additional houses have been allotted under 'Housing for All'. Under this, these houses will have to be constructed and allotted in the current financial year i.e. 2023-24 itself. The houses approved by the ministry have been asked to be allotted to the eligible people within a month.
