Chief of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan reached Delhi on Monday. Here he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence. Political experts are keeping an eye on this meeting, which is being held before the important meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to be held tomorrow i.e. on July 18. Shortly after this, BJP President JP Nadda announced Chirag's joining the NDA. He said that Chirag Paswan has decided to join the NDA. I welcome him to the NDA family.

Union Minister is angry with the other

According to sources, Chirag Paswan is in talks with the BJP to finalize his party's share of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar for the 2024 general elections. This meeting is also being linked to the same. Union minister and senior BJP leader from Bihar Nityanand Rai has met Paswan twice before.

The LJP, led by late Dalit leader and Chirag's father Ram Vilas Paswan, contested six Lok Sabha seats in 2019 and also got one Rajya Sabha seat under a seat-sharing arrangement with the BJP. Chirag Paswan wants the BJP to stick to the same system despite the split in his party.

Will mobilize more than 30 parties in NDA meeting

Ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a tug-of-war has begun between the BJP and the opposition to show the broad spectrum of the coalitions led by them. There is talk of 26 parties joining the two-day gathering of opposition parties from Monday in the exercise of coming on a single platform. In response, the BJP will mobilize more than 30 parties in the NDA meeting to be held on Tuesday.

Added six new parties in the last one week

The BJP has added six new parties in the last one week to show the increased strength of the NDA against the opposition. The NDA already consisted of 24 parties. After the addition of these six new parties, the number of parties involved in the NDA has increased to more than 30. Party sources have clarified that there will be no pre-poll alliance with Akali Dal, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), RLSP and JDS in future.
