Β An order has come on the petition regarding the survey of the campus except Vajusthal in the famous Gyanvapi campus of Varanasi. The court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh has ordered the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a radar survey of the barricaded area, except the Seal Vajukhana of Gyanvapi, in the Maa Shringar Gauri original suit. The court has said that the ASI should tell how and how the survey will be done so that there is no damage in the Gyanvapi campus. With complete preparation regarding the survey, the ASI should file the report by August 4. Along with this, the court has fixed August 4 as the next date of hearing of the case.

An application was given in the court on May 16 on behalf of the four litigants of the Hindu side, Rekha Pathak, Manju Vyas, Lakshmi Devi and Sita Sahu. It was said that except for the sealed Vajukhana in Gyanvapi, the rest of the area should be surveyed by ASI with radar technology. On May 19, the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee objected to this. The hearing was completed on 14 July. The court then fixed the date of May 21 for the hearing while reserving the file for the order.

Hindu side expressed happiness

Expressing happiness over the acceptance of the application in the district judge's court, the Hindu side termed it as a big victory. The advocates of the Hindu side said that the survey would make it clear what is the reality of Gyanvapi. The age of stones, idols, walls and other constructions will be known without causing any damage in the survey. On the other hand, the opposition Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee has opposed the application for conducting the survey.

Now hearing on monitoring application on August 16

On Thursday, in the court of Additional District Judge (IX) Vinod Kumar Singh, a hearing was held on the monitoring application filed in the matter of spreading filth in Vajukhana located in Gyanvapi campus and the controversial statement given on Shivling-like figure. Advocates Ehtesham Abdi and Shavnawaz Parvez filed an advocacy on behalf of AIMIM President Asududdin Owaisi. The court fixed August 16 as the next date of hearing for other opposition parties to appear.
