Cloudburst 2 times in Shimla's Rampur, many houses washed away, damage to gardens, orange alert for heavy rain

In Kandahar village of Sarpara panchayat of Rampur sub-division, apple orchards and houses were damaged due to two cloudbursts late in the night.

Cloud burst in Rampur of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Due to this gardens and houses have been damaged. Many houses have been washed away. Water has entered the houses. Due to this people are facing a lot of problems.

According to information, apple orchards and houses have been damaged due to two cloudbursts in Kandahar village of Sarpara Panchayat of Rampur sub-division. The primary school building, youth club building and other people's houses have been washed away due to floods.

Apart from this, people's cows, bulls, sheep and goats were also washed away in this flood. At the same time, water has been filled in many apple orchards. According to the information, suddenly at 11 o'clock in the late night the cloud burst and people
saved his life by running away but the houses and gardens were badly damaged.

After this, again at three o'clock the flood which came due to cloudburst created havoc. Sarpara Panchayat head Mohan Kapatiya told that there was a cloudburst in Kandhar village of Sarpara Panchayat. He said that the contact of Sarpara village has been cut off from the country and the world. He has demanded from the administration that immediate relief should be given to the affected people after taking stock of the situation on the spot.

Cloudburst in Gadsa valley of Kullu

Earlier, heavy rains lashed some areas of Himachal Pradesh since Monday night. Pancha nallah and Hurla nallah were inundated due to cloudburst at 4:00 am on Tuesday in Gadsa valley of Kullu district. Due to this, three houses were washed away, while two were badly damaged. 17 houses have suffered partial damage. Three pedestrian and one motorable bridge have also been washed away. A vehicle also got swept away in the Gadsa Khad. Some cattle are missing. The Bhuntar-Gadsa Maniyar road has been damaged at many places.

Orange alert for heavy rain today and tomorrow

The Meteorological Center Shimla has issued an orange alert for heavy rain for Wednesday and Thursday. There is a yellow alert on Friday. The weather is expected to remain bad in the state till July 31. The weather remained clear in the capital Shimla on Tuesday. On the other hand, 80.2 mm of rain has been recorded in Dharamshala, 50.6 mm in Palampur and 26.0 mm in Jogindernagar on Monday night. More than 500 roads are still stuck in the state. Hundreds of water supply schemes and power transformers are also disrupted. 28 HRTC buses are still stuck in Kullu, more than 200 routes are running affected.

Flood alert in nine districts

A flood alert has been issued for the next 24 hours in Chamba, Kangra, Sirmaur, Shimla, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kullu, Mandi and Kinnaur districts. People have been instructed not to go near the banks of rivers and drains.

Schools in six subdivisions of Shimla closed till July 28

In view of the heavy rain alert, it has been decided to keep all government and private schools under Rampur Bushahr, Jubbal, Kotkhai, Rohru, Chaupal and Theog subdivisions closed till July 28. At the same time, schools affiliated to CBSE and ICSE can take decisions at their own level keeping in mind the safety of the students and staff.
