The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday claimed to have busted the country's largest drug smuggling network operating on the darknet. NCB says that a large number of LSD has also been seized from the smugglers. Let us tell you that earlier in June, a cache of 15,000 LSD blots was seized by the Federal Anti-Narcotics Agency.

Three accused arrested

According to an official, the Narcotics Control Bureau has busted the pan-India darknet drug smuggling network comprising the biggest and highest-rated LSD cartel and seized a huge quantity of LSD. The Narcotics Control Bureau has also arrested three people along with seizing over 13,000 blots and Rs 26 lakh in cash.

NCB Deputy Director Gyaneshwar Singh said that a hallucinogenic class drug has been found near a cartel named 'Jambada'. He said that they have a huge business and supply chain and this cartel is also working in UK, US, South Africa, Canada, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

Officials said this is the second LSD smuggling cartel busted by the agency in the last nearly three months. The federal Anti-Narcotics Agency seized a cache of 15,000 LSD blots in June, the biggest ever in an operation, and arrested half a dozen people.
Explain that LSD or Lysergic Acid Diethylamide is a synthetic chemical-based drug and is classified as a hallucinogen. It is largely abused by the youth and its consumption can lead to serious health problems.

What is darknet?

The darknet, also known as the darknet or deep net, is an encrypted portion of the Internet that cannot normally be accessed by search engines. That is, it is beyond the scope of commonly used search engines like Google, Bing and normal browsing.
Only select people have access to the darknet and it is claimed that the darknet is used for illegal and criminal activities. The dark web is used for illegal activities like human trafficking, arms smuggling, drug buying and selling.
