Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign will start from today, Amrit Vatika will be made from the soil of panchayats of the country

Under 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', this program will conclude in Delhi from 27 to 30 August. Earthen urns from across the country will reach the duty path on August 27.

The 'Meri Mati-Mera Desh' campaign will start from today under 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Programs will be organized at all panchayats and block level till 30th August. They will conclude on the Kartvya path of Delhi. 'Amrit Vatika' will be made on the duty path of Delhi with the soil of panchayats across the country. It will be the 'Amrit Mahotsav Memorial' dedicated to the heroes who contributed to freedom, unity and integrity. Apart from this, for the purpose of conservation of ponds in the villages, memorials will also be built on their banks in the name of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country and duty.

The Ministry of Culture said in a statement on Tuesday that the 'Amrit Festival of Independence' began on March 12, 2021 and witnessed wide public participation with over two lakh events organized across India. As part of the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' campaign, various programs will be organized at the village, block, state and national levels from August 9 to 30 to pay homage to the heroes who laid down their lives for the country. The closing ceremony will be held on August 30 at the Duty Path in Delhi in the presence of various dignitaries. The statement said that 'Shilafalakam' (memorial plaques) would be installed in the village panchayats in the memory of the martyrs. They will have a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the names of people from the area who laid down their lives for the country.

PM Modi had recently announced this campaign in 'Mann Ki Baat' program. The Ministry of Culture said in a statement that Amrit Kalash Yatra will also be taken out during this period. Under this, 'Amrit Vatika' will be made in Delhi with the soil brought from every corner of the country. This Amrit Vatika will be a symbol of the government's commitment towards 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'.

75 indigenous plants will be planted to save the earth including Panch-Pran

In the program to be organized during this time, there will be a call for a developed India, freedom from every thought of slavery, pride in heritage, unity and solidarity and five vows of citizens to perform their duties. Apart from this, 75 indigenous plants will be planted to save our village, panchayat and area and the earth.
