Khan was met on Thursday by his wife Bushra Bibi for the first time after his arrest and conviction in a corruption case. Earlier on Monday, advocate Naeem Haider Panjotha had also met and claimed that he was kept in a cell full of flies and bedbugs.

Legal team was not allowed to meet

Khan's lawyer Naeem Haider Panjotha said the one-on-one meeting between the 70-year-old Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and his wife lasted for about half an hour. After the meeting, Bushra told that Khan is completely fine, but he has been kept in C category. He said that despite the order of the High Court, the legal team was not allowed to meet. We will take up this matter in the High Court tomorrow. Let me tell you, Bushra, the 48-year-old wife of the former PM, is also facing corruption charges.

Claim after Monday's meeting

Significantly, following the order of the Islamabad High Court, the jail authorities on Monday allowed Khan to meet his lawyer Panjotha. Panjotha had said after the meeting that Khan was living in very bad conditions. They have been kept in a dark room with an open toilet. Apart from this, flies keep hovering during the day and ants come at night. No one is allowed to meet him, as if he is a terrorist.

An attempt was made to break open the door of Khan's wife's room

He had said that Khan told him that the police had not shown him the arrest warrant. Along with this, the police also tried to break open the door of his wife's room in Lahore.

Disclosure from one and a half hour meeting

Panjotha had visited the former prime minister in jail to get his signature on a legal document for filing an appeal against his conviction. During this, he met Khan for about an hour and 45 minutes in the presence of an official.
