Two pilots have died inside the aircraft in three days. An incident where happened on a LATAM Airlines plane. Whereas, today's case is of Indigo Airlines. The plane in which this incident took place on Thursday was about to fly from Nagpur to Pune. Indigo has informed that the pilot fainted at the boarding gate. After which he was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The incident took place when he was on his way to operate the airline's Nagpur-Pune flight, officials said. He said that Captain Manoj Subramaniam (40) fainted at around 12 noon in the security area of the airport. Manoj was taken to KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The hospital said that prima facie the pilot died due to cardiac arrest. Hospital spokesperson Ejaz Shami said the emergency team tried to treat Manoj, but he did not respond.

Indigo issued a statement

It has been learned that the pilot operated several sectors as per his roster before reporting for duty today. Also had rest for 27 hours. The airline said that the deceased pilot had operated the aircraft on two sectors Trivandrum-Pune-Nagpur yesterday. It was early morning (around 3 am to 7 am). After that there was a rest of 27 hours and today their roster was fixed for 4 sectors with departure at 1 pm.

Airline company expressed condolences

Indigo has said in its statement that we are saddened by the demise of one of our pilots in Nagpur today. His health deteriorated at the Nagpur airport and he was taken to the hospital. Where unfortunately he passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.

LATAM Airlines pilot dies

Earlier on Tuesday, a pilot died after collapsing in the bathroom of a commercial flight carrying 271 passengers from Miami to Chile. After this incident, the plane made an emergency landing in Panama on Tuesday night. However, by then the pilot had died. According to sources, the pilot died due to cardiac arrest.

The pilot who died has been identified as Captain Ivan Andor, who had been feeling unwell three hours before the LATAM Airlines plane was to take off. Although the crew present in the aircraft tried to give him emergency treatment after the incident, they could not save him.

As soon as the plane landed at Panama City's Tocumen International Airport, medical experts present there arrived to treat him, but by then he had died. Pilot Andor had 25 years of experience.
