Delhi Commission for Women's chairperson Swati Maliwal's sit-in continues at the hospital. Swati Maliwal was not allowed to meet the hospitalized teenager.

Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, is sitting on a dharna at the hospital in Delhi where the minor girl has been admitted. He said that Delhi Police is doing hooliganism. They are neither allowing me to meet the girl nor her mother.

I do not understand what Delhi Police wants to hide from me. I am told that the NCPCR chairman was allowed to meet the girl's mother. When the NCPCR chairman can meet the girl's mother, why is the DCW chief not allowed to do so?

Police did not allow to meet the teenager, Maliwal sat on protest

Let us tell you that on Monday, Delhi Women's Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal and Delhi Police clashed in connection with the rape of a teenager by Deputy Director Premoday Khaka in the Women and Child Development Department. Commission and Delhi Police showed their strength to each other. The commission issued a notice to the police questioning the police for not arresting the accused even after eight days of registration of the FIR.

At the same time, the police did not allow Swati Maliwal to meet the hospitalized teenager. In protest, they started a sit-in at the hospital, which continued through the night. Maliwal is still on strike. Swati Maliwal issued a notice to the Delhi Police in the rape case and ordered it to provide the action taken report by August 23.

After this she went to meet the teenager admitted in the hospital, but the security personnel there did not allow her to meet the teenager. During this, there was a long argument between the security personnel and him, but he was not allowed to meet the girl. Enraged by this episode, Swati Maliwal accused the Delhi Police of trying to protect the accused.

For this reason, earlier the accused was not arrested, while now the police is not allowing him to meet the victim teenager admitted in the hospital, but he will meet the victim under any circumstances and will provide all possible help to the victim and the family. That's why she is sitting on dharna in protest against not meeting the victim. She will leave the hospital only after meeting him.

On the other hand, he has sought details of the action taken against the officer from the Delhi government in this matter. The Commission has also ordered to provide details of any complaints made earlier against the officer and the action taken thereon.

At the same time, she accused the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women and some BJP leaders of spreading lies in the matter of declaring the accused as a DCWD employee. He said that legal action will be taken against those who spread fake news and defame the Commission.
