G20: US President Joe Biden will come to India on a three-day visit in September, will participate in the G-20 summit

India is currently presiding over the G20 countries. In this sequence, the G20 summit will be organized in India's hosting in September. Leaders of many countries will take part in it. Meanwhile, it has come to light that US President Joe Biden will attend the G20 summit. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan gave this information during a press conference on Tuesday. He told that President Biden will visit India from 7-10 September.

White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre has also issued a statement regarding Joe Biden's visit to India. The statement said that during the G-20 summit, he will discuss with other leaders a number of global challenges, including the Ukraine conflict. Along with this, Biden will also appreciate the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in G20.

The statement also said that President Biden and G20 partners will discuss a number of joint efforts to address global issues, including the clean energy transition and combating climate change, and mitigating the economic and social impacts of the Ukraine conflict.

Sullivan said that President Biden would push for reform of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank to provide more assistance to developing countries. The US NSA said that both these institutions need to provide better alternatives to developing countries instead of the financial assistance provided under China's Belt and Road Initiative. We are clearly hearing their voices to combat the challenges that are being faced by these countries, Sullivan told reporters.

Explain that in the group of G20 countries, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States America) and the European Union. These member states account for about 85 percent of global GDP and more than 75 percent of global trade. Also, these countries have about two-thirds of the world's population.

Guest countries include Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and United Arab Emirates. ISA, CDRI and ADB are chaired by India as chair of G20 in addition to the chairs of regular international organizations (UN, IMF, WB, WHO, WTO, ILO, FSB and OECD) and regional organizations (AU, AUDA-NEPAD and ASEAN) International organizations will be invited as guests.

Let us inform that the summit of G20 world leaders is going to be held in New Delhi on 9 and 10 September. The summit is expected to be one of the largest gathering of world leaders in India. India took over the chairmanship of G20 from Indonesia on December 1, 2022.

Biden told about the importance of India in the world: Garcetti

US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti said that the Indian diaspora plays an important role in mutual relations between different countries. Garcetti said that US President Biden had told him about the importance of India in the world. We are part of different identities but the reality is that we are part of circles with the same centre, he said.
