Delhi Murder: An accused in the Amazon manager murder case arrested, caught by police late night near Signature Bridge

On Tuesday night, in the Bhajanpura area of North-East Delhi, a few steps away from the police station, miscreants riding a bike and a scooter shot the senior manager of Amazon and his maternal uncle.

Delhi Police has arrested the accused in the Amazon manager murder case. The accused was caught by the police near Signature Bridge at around 2 o'clock in the night. The accused along with his associates had opened fire in Bhajanpura. In which the manager of the Amazon company was killed and another was injured. Delhi Police said that efforts are being made to arrest the rest of the accused in this case. Further investigation is on.

The accused has been identified as Bilal Ghani alias Mallu, son of Mohd. Shad R/o B-241/6, Gali No. 19/20, Subhash Mohalla, Bhajanpura, Delhi born as Age-18 Years. Bilal Ghani alias Mallu turned 18 just a few days ago. He has studied till tenth standard. Due to his habit of smoking ganja, he got the nickname 'Mallu'. He is the eldest among 5 siblings. He works at a welding shop in North Ghonda, Bhajanpura.

On Tuesday night, a few steps away from the police station in North-East Delhi's Bhajanpura area, bike and scooty-riding miscreants shot the senior manager of Amazon and his maternal uncle. Manager Harpreet Gill (36) and his maternal uncle Govind (32) were rushed to the nearby Jag Pravesh Chand Hospital in critical condition, where Harpreet was declared brought dead. Uncle's treatment continues. The police handed over Harpreet's body to the family after getting the post-mortem done at GTB Hospital's mortuary on Wednesday.

Harpreet Gill lived with the family at Gali No. 1, Subhash Vihar, Bhajanpura. He is survived by father Karnail Singh, mother Swarnadeep Kaur and a younger brother Sunny Gill. Harpreet was posted as Senior Manager in Amazon for the last 14 years. At present he was posted in the office located at Zakhira. Govind Singh, who seems to be Harpreet's maternal uncle, lives in the street with his family. He runs a momos shop by the name of Hungrybird in Bhajanpura market. Harpreet came home from his office on Tuesday night. Late at night around 11 pm, both of them left for some work on the bike.

While returning at around 11.45 pm, he had an altercation with five boys passing by on scooty and bike in street number-8/4. The miscreants took out their pistols and shot them on the temples and fled. District Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Joy Tirkey says that there was no attempt to loot them. The family members have clearly denied any dealings and enmity. The accused have been identified. They will be caught soon.

Harpreet was promoted, had to go to Bengaluru

After the death of Harpreet, his family members are crying bitterly. When the family got information about his murder on Tuesday, there was chaos in the house. When the brother of the deceased, Sunny ran towards the spot, he became a victim of the accident. He suffered serious injuries. A relative told that Harpreet had been promoted and had to go to Bangalore next week. His father Karnail Singh has been ill for a long time. He fainted after hearing the news of his son's death. Same was the condition of his mother also. On the other hand, the family members of Govind Singh are praying for his speedy recovery.

Name of area criminal Sameer surfaced

The name of area's famous scoundrel Sameer alias Maya has come to the fore in the murder case. Sources say that he was passing through there with his friends at the time of the incident. His scooty touched Harpreet's bike. After this he and his associates shot both of them.
