Tweeting on X, Musk said he had no choice but to file a defamation suit against the Anti-Defamation League.

Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X, has spoken of suing the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a Jewish organization in America. Actually, this Jewish organization has been accused of allegedly spreading lies against X. Musk says that this organization has accused X of spreading anti-Semitic sentiments, due to which X has been removed from the advertising platform. Musk says that these allegations are wrong and he is considering taking action about it.

Posting on X, Musk said, 'We have no other way but to file a defamation case against the Anti-Defamation League. From what we have heard based on the advertisement, it seems that ADL is responsible for our losses. The group could potentially be subject to legal action for damages worth half the value of X, around $22 billion.

He said, 'Advertisers avoid getting into controversy, so ADL is making baseless allegations to destroy the advertising revenue of US and UK.' The ADL declined to comment on Elon Musk's legal threats. He has only responded on the Ban the ADL ("BanTheADL") hashtag.

ADL issued statement

In an email, the ADL said, "We are not surprised that anti-Semitism and other trolls such as white supremacists continue to attack our organization." This is not a new thing. The ADL has been accusing social media of spreading anti-Semitic hatred for years.

According to the ADL and the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), racist comments on X have skyrocketed since Musk's $44 billion acquisition in October. Last month, Musk filed a lawsuit against CCDH, accusing them of slander.
