Varanasi: Devotees set a new record in Vishwanath Dham, donated generously in Sawan, this time five times more

In Sawan, 1.63 crore 17 thousand devotees attended Baba Darbar and donated Rs 16.89 crore. According to Sunil Kumar Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, an offering of Rs 3.40 crore 71 thousand 065 was received during Sawan in the year 2022. This means that the offering in 2023 has increased fivefold.
As devotees increase, donations increase
While the arrival of Srikashi Vishwanath Dham in a new and grand form was a historical event, the two years after its inauguration were also historical in many ways. The most special thing in this was the increase in the number of devotees by almost 20 times. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham was earlier in 3000 square feet. Now the area has become five lakh square feet. Basic facilities have also increased. This has made it easier to have Baba's darshan. Due to this the number of devotees increased manifold. Donations have also increased. This time due to excess month, Sawan was of about two months.
After the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the temple trust increased the facilities. Arrangements were made for drinking water, shade, mats and other basic facilities. Special attention was paid to cleanliness. 50 employees are employed for easy darshan. Hundred personnel have been deployed for better security and convenience of 200 workers and visitors in the cleaning system. Lockers and help desks have been set up at various places in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham for the convenience of the visitors. There is a free wheelchair arrangement for the convenience of old and disabled devotees.
