Saudi Arabia: Saudi Crown Prince will remain in India after joining G20, will meet PM Modi

The Saudi Prince and Prime Minister will meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu on 11 September. After this he will attend a bilateral meeting with PM Modi.

The G20 summit organized in Delhi is going to start from today. World-class leaders participating in it have also arrived. Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has also reached India to participate in this program. He will stay in India even after attending the G20 summit on September 9 and 10. Actually, after the G20 summit, the Crown Prince of Saudi will pay a state visit to India from September 11.

Saudi Crown Prince will make a state visit to India

This information has been given in a notice issued by the Ministry of External Affairs. The notice states that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will pay a state visit to India after attending the G20 summit on 9 and 10 November. Earlier in the year 2019, the Crown Prince of Saudi had visited India in February and this is the second Indian tour for him. Many ministers and high level officials will also participate in his visit.

Will meet President Murmu and PM Modi

The Saudi Prince and Prime Minister will meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu on 11 September. After this he will attend a bilateral meeting with PM Modi. The two leaders will also co-chair the first leaders' meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council. In this meeting, political, security, cultural, social, investment cooperation and financial issues will be discussed between the two leaders.

There is a very deep relationship between India and Saudi Arabia. Trade between the two countries has reached its highest level of 52.75 billion in the year 2022-23. While India is the second largest trading partner of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia is known as the fourth largest trading partner for India. The two countries also have strong ties in the field of energy. About 2.4 million Indians live in Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom organizes the Haj pilgrimage for 175,000 Indians every year.
