The condition of hundreds of Israelis and citizens of other countries taken hostage by Hamas is said to be extremely pathetic. In such a situation, Hagai Levin, head of the medical team of the 'Hostages and Missing Families Forum', has urged the international community to intervene. He says the hostages have serious illnesses that require immediate care.

Needs immediate care

Levin said during a press conference at the conference in Tel Aviv on Saturday that Hamas is holding hundreds of Israelis as well as American and several European citizens hostage. They have illnesses that require immediate care.

Levin has called on the governments of Turkey, Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to intervene in the matter. Levin emphasized that it is 'haram' to deny treatment to those in need. I hope that the Muslim people will demand from Hamas to allow the treatment of hostages.

What is Red Cross Organization

He said that the Red Cross is a neutral organization which cares for the victims regardless of the nationality of the people. We met with the Red Cross team based in Israel and said that we hope the Red Cross will now take action to ensure that the hostages are treated as best they can.

According to Israeli media, under an agreement Israel has agreed to allow foreign citizens to leave Gaza. According to reports, Egypt, Israel and the US have agreed to allow foreign nationals living in Gaza to enter Egypt through the Rafah border crossing.
