However, it has not been revealed as to when the divorce took place between the two. But this is the first time it has come to light publicly that the two have separated. In his affidavit, the pilot has written 'divorced' against the column containing his wife's name. Sachin and Sara have two children. Sachin has both the children. This has also been disclosed in the affidavit.
According to the information, Sachin Pilot and Sara got married about 19 years ago on January 15, 2004. Sara is the daughter of former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah. It is said that Abdullah was against this marriage, while the pilot's family was also unhappy with this relationship. Sachin was successful in convincing his family for this relationship but Sara could not do so. Therefore Farooq Abdullah did not attend this marriage. Sara is educated in London. Both of them were married at the Delhi residence of the then Dausa MP and Sachin's mother Rama Pilot.

Sachin Pilot also contested his first Lok Sabha election from Dausa. After winning the elections from Dausa, he reached Parliament for the first time. Later, Pilot became a minister in the Central Government at a very young age. Pilot is the person who handled the political legacy of his father Rajesh Pilot very well. Sachin rose rapidly in politics and became popular in the Congress party. Pilot has also been the President of Rajasthan Congress for about seven years. Congress returned to power for the last time during his presidency.
