The next meeting of the Rajya Sabha Privileges Committee has been called again on November 8.

A meeting of the Rajya Sabha Privileges Committee was called today. In which many issues including matters related to Raghav Chaddha were discussed. The committee has sought a report from Raghav Chadha by November 7. During the meeting, the members demanded immediate action and finalization of the committee's report in cases of breach of privilege. The report will be presented before the Council of States. The next meeting of the Rajya Sabha Privileges Committee has been called again on November 8.

What is the case of Raghav Chadha?

On August 11, leader of the House Piyush Goyal had presented a proposal in the Rajya Sabha. Action was demanded against AAP leader Raghav for including names of some members in the proposed selection committee without their consent. After the Rajya Sabha passed the resolution, Chadha was suspended on the last day of the monsoon session for "gross violation of rules, misconduct, unruly attitude and contemptible conduct" pending the report of the privileges committee.

Sanjay Singh is suspended for the entire monsoon session of Parliament

At the same time, the troubles of Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have also not reduced. He has been suspended by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar for the entire monsoon session of Parliament. It has already been said by the Rajya Sabha that Sanjay Singh will remain suspended from the Rajya Sabha till the investigation by the Privileges Committee.

What is the matter of Sanjay Singh's suspension?

Actually, Rajya Sabha leader PU Goyal had presented a proposal to suspend Sanjay Singh. It was passed by voice vote. Sanjay Singh has been suspended due to indecent behaviour. The opposition was demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of Manipur. Then Chairman Dhankhar said that this will be discussed in the question hour. However, the Question Hour lasted only for a few minutes. After this Sanjay Singh reached near the Chairman's chair. The Chairman asked him to go back, but he remained adamant. Later Piyush Goyal proposed to suspend him.

TMC MP Brian has also been suspended

At the same time, on August 8, a discussion was going on in the Rajya Sabha regarding Manipur. Meanwhile, Derek O'Brien stood up and said that Manipur should be discussed. Chairman Dhankhar asked him to remain calm, but he remained adamant on his point. The Chairman became angry with this and scolded him and asked him to sit. Despite this, when Brian did not remain silent, the Chairman stood up from his seat. After this he was suspended for the rest of the season for indecent behaviour.
