CTET 2024: Registration for CBSE CTET exam begins, apply this way

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

CBSE CTET 2024 Registration: Registration for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 (CTET) has started from today i.e. 03 November 2023 on behalf of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates willing to appear in the examination can visit the official website ctet.nic.in and fill the online form and submit it. The last date for submission of application form is 23 November 2023.

CTET 2024 Exam Details

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on Sunday, January 21, 2024. CTET 2024 for the January session will be conducted in twenty languages in 135 cities across the country. There are two papers in CTET exam. Paper 1 and 2 and it will be conducted in two sessions i.e. morning and afternoon. All questions in the CBSE CTET exam will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options, out of which one answer will be correct. Each question will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers in CBSE CTET-

Paper I will be for the candidates who want to become a teacher for class 01 to 05.

Paper II will be for the candidates who want to become a teacher for class 06 to 08.

CTET 2024 Application Fee

For one paper of CBSE CTET, General/OBC/EWS category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000, while SC/ST/PH candidates will have to pay Rs 500.

For both Primary/Junior papers, General/OBC/EWS candidates will have to submit an application fee of Rs.1200 and SC/ST/PH candidates will have to submit an application fee of Rs.600. The examination fee has to be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or E Challan.

CTET 2024 Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for CBSE CTET Paper 1 must qualify the Senior Secondary examination with a minimum of 50 percent marks. It is also mandatory to pass the 2-year D.El.Ed examination to appear for the exam.

Candidates applying for CBSE CTET Paper 2 must have completed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Those who have passed or appeared in B.Ed program with at least 50% marks are also eligible to apply.
