Chlorine gas leaked from the gas cylinders kept in the plot in Jhajhra,
Dehradun on Tuesday morning. Due to which people started having trouble breathing. After this, as soon as the information was received, Premnagar police station reached the spot and evacuated the area.

According to the information, the incident is said to have taken place in the early hours. Police station Premnagar received information that gas cylinders were leaking in a vacant plot in Jhajhra area. On information, SDRF and NDRF teams including Senior Superintendent of Police arrived and started the rescue operation.
Also, people were evacuated from the houses located in the surrounding area and taken to safe places. Action is being taken to remove gas cylinders from the spot. The SSP instructed the officers to investigate the matter as to who kept the cylinders in the plot.
