The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Examination on June 16, 2024. The commission will soon release the admit card for the registered students on the official website upsc.gov.in. Following the usual pattern, the UPSC Prelims Admit Card is expected to be released in the first week of June, about 10 days before the exam. Eligible candidates who have successfully registered for the prelims exams are advised to be ready with their registration number to download their admit card from the official website.

Important Instructions
Along with the admit card, candidates must carry a valid identity card to the examination centre. Candidates who clear the preliminary examination will be eligible for the next stage, the UPSC main examination. Selection for various posts under the civil service examination will be based on three stages: preliminary, main, and interview.
UPSC Prelims 2024 Exam Pattern
The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks. Both the question papers will be of objective type and each will be of two hours duration. The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%. The question papers will be set in both Hindi and English.
