Hardik Shri from Jharkhand has achieved the top position in the country in the Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT), the entrance exam for admission to the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID). Hailing from Bokaro district, Hardik completed his schooling at DPS Bokaro and later prepared for the entrance exam in Ranchi.

Hardik's journey to NID was filled with challenges, especially the task of convincing his family members about the potential of a career in design. Initially met with skepticism, Hardik's passion for fine arts and design eventually won the support of his family, particularly his mother, Babita, who played a crucial role in encouraging him.

NID Entrance Exam Structure

The NID-DAT exam comprises two stages – Prelims and Mains. Prelims consist of a written exam, while Mains includes a studio test and an interview. Only candidates who clear the NID cutoff in Prelims can proceed to Mains.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NID entrance exam, candidates must have passed the intermediate examination from a central or state board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
