Buying Tips for Gold Jewelry

If you are buying gold jewelry, it is crucial not to overlook quality. Always purchase jewelry after verifying the hallmark, which is the government's guarantee of gold purity. The only agency in India that certifies the hallmark is the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Different carats have distinct hallmark marks, so ensure you check and understand these before making a purchase.
