Telangana celebrates its foundation day as exit polls predict significant gains for BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The state of Telangana, located in the south of India and settled on the Deccan plateau, rich in historical heritage and mineral wealth, is celebrating its foundation day. After many years of effort and agitation, exactly 10 years ago on June 2, 2014, Telangana separated from Andhra Pradesh and became the 28th state of India.

In the exit polls that came after the last phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Saturday, June 1, the BJP alliance is expected to get 17 seats in Telangana. In the last Lok Sabha elections of 2019, BJP won 4 seats. If the exit poll results prove to be true, it will be a significant achievement for the BJP.

Exit Poll Predictions

the Telangana BJP alliance is predicted to win 12 seats out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats. Congress may get 4-5 seats, and others may get one seat.

Congress's Claims Fail

Congress had high hopes in Telangana. After getting a majority in the assembly, Congress was making big claims of victory in the Lok Sabha elections. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had claimed victory for Congress on 15 out of 17 seats. However, the exit polls suggest otherwise.

There is talk of Asaduddin Owaisi's return to Telangana's hottest seat, Hyderabad. Here BJP had fielded Madhavi Lata against Owaisi. Although Madhavi Lata gave a tough fight to Owaisi, she is projected to lose in the exit polls.

2019 Lok Sabha Elections and Telangana

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) won 9 out of 17 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party got 4 seats. Congress captured 3 seats, and Owaisi's party AIMIM got just one seat.

BJP's Account to Open in Kerala

There are 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala. BJP has not won any seat in Kerala to date. Exit polls are indicating that BJP's account will open in Kerala this time. Chanakya exit polls are saying that Congress alliance-UDF (United Democratic Front) will get 15 seats in Kerala. BJP can get 4 seats here, while the Left Democratic Front- LDF is expected to get one seat. If the exit polls prove to be correct, then BJP is going to create history in Kerala.

In Kerala, 5 out of 8 exit polls have predicted that the BJP-led NDA will get 1 to 3 seats. All these seats can go to the BJP's account. If the exit poll results prove to be correct, then BJP will make history in Kerala this time.

Triangular Contest in Kerala

This time in Kerala, a triangular contest has been seen between the Congress-led United Democratic Front-UDF, the Marxist Communist Party-led Left Democratic Front-LDF, and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance-NDA.

2019 Lok Sabha Elections in Kerala

Last time, Congress contested on 16 seats in Kerala and won 15 seats. The Congress-led alliance UDF won 19 seats. In this, Indian Muslim League got 2 seats, and other allies got 2 seats. CPI-M got one seat. In the 2019 elections, BJP got 15.6 percent of the votes but did not win any seat.
