Chhattisgarh Weather Update: Rain Expected in Bastar, Temperature to Rise

The weather in Chhattisgarh has taken a turn. Due to the effect of the monsoon trough, there are chances of rain in the Bastar region. Meanwhile, over the next three days, the maximum temperature in various areas of the state is expected to increase by three degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, some areas may also experience thunderstorms and lightning.
According to the department, rain activity will increase from June 13, after which the monsoon will advance rapidly in other areas of the state. On Monday, Tilda was the hottest place in the state, with the maximum temperature recorded at 43.3 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has predicted more than normal rainfall for the state this year. Meteorological expert HP Chandra mentioned that an east-west trough is spread from East Bihar to Nagaland at a height of 0.9 km. Additionally, a wind shear zone is spread at 18 degrees north at a height of 3.1 km to 5.8 km. Due to its effect, light rain may occur in some areas of the state on Tuesday, mainly in South Chhattisgarh.
On Monday evening, many areas of the state, including the capital Raipur, experienced rain along with thunderstorms. This affected the weather, increasing humidity. The maximum temperature in Raipur was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature was 26.6 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature was 1.6 degrees Celsius higher than normal, while the minimum temperature was 0.7 degrees Celsius lower than normal. Similarly, the maximum temperature increased in most areas of the state. According to weather experts, the weather will remain the same for the next few days. With the increase in maximum temperature, humidity will also persist.
