Gautam Gambhir takes over this prestigious role from Rahul Dravid. The announcement was made by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, who expressed his pleasure in welcoming Gambhir to this pivotal position. The BCCI fully supports him on this new journey.’’ Gambhir’s appointment was also notable for the fact that he was chosen over other contenders, including WV Raman, the former coach of the Indian women’s team. Raman had served as the women’s team coach since December 2018 until he was replaced by Ramesh Powar in May 2021.

Jay Shah also took the opportunity to wish former coach Rahul Dravid all the best for his future endeavors. Current Team India Activities
The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of Zimbabwe, engaged in a five-match T20 series. The series is currently tied, with both teams having won one match each. India faced a defeat in the first match but bounced back to win the second match by 100 runs, thanks to a stellar century by young opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored 100 runs off 47 balls.
