Motorola launches Moto G85 5G in India with advanced features including a 6.7-inch pOLED display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, and a 50MP main camera.

Motorola has unveiled its latest offering, the Moto G85 5G smartphone, in India on Wednesday. This new device boasts an array of impressive features, including Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 3D curved display, and a Sony Lytia sensor for the main camera, making it a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.

Display and Design

The Moto G85 5G features a 6.7-inch pOLED display that offers a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. This handset comes equipped with a 10-bit display and supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring vibrant and accurate color reproduction. The front of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, while the back design incorporates vegan leather or acrylic glass finishes, depending on the color variant.

Performance and Storage

Under the hood, the Moto G85 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card, and the device supports up to 24GB of virtual RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 14, with Motorola promising two OS upgrades (up to Android 16) and four years of security updates, ensuring longevity and security for its users.

Camera Capabilities

On the rear, the Moto G85 5G is equipped with a dual-camera setup. The main camera features a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), which helps in capturing clear and stable images. Accompanying the main sensor is an 8MP ultrawide + macro camera, providing versatility for different photographic needs. The Moto G85 5G is available in two storage variants. The 8GB RAM / 128GB model is priced at Rs 17,999, while the 12GB RAM / 256GB option is available for Rs 19,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting July 16 on Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and major retail stores across India. Customers can choose from three Pantone curated colors: Olive Green (Vegan Leather), Cobalt Blue (Vegan Leather), and Urban Gray (Acrylic Glass).
