PM Modi returned home late on Sunday night after a six-day visit to America and Egypt. He was received at the Delhi airport by Nadda and Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi. After this, he reached Egypt's capital Cairo on Saturday after completing his state visit to America.
His two-day state visit to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is the first bilateral visit by an Indian prime minister since 1997. President al-Sisi awarded Modi with the 'Order of the Nile', Egypt's highest state honour. This is the 13th highest state honor received by Prime Minister Modi.
PM Modi started his five-day visit on 20 June. He visited America from 21-24 June. His US visit began in New York, where he led a historic event at the United Nations Headquarters to mark the ninth International Day of Yoga on 21 June. Later, he was given a grand welcome at the White House by President Biden in Washington DC.
