After almost three years, the Asia Cup has returned again. India's first match will be on August 28, 2022 with rag rivals Pakistan.

The Asia Cup 2022 is starting from 27 August in the United Arab Emirates. The Asia Cup is returning after three years. This is the 15th edition of the Asia Cup , and India has been the most successful team, winning 7 out of 14 times. Apart from India, Sri Lanka has also won this trophy five times and Pakistan has won it twice. India's first match will be with Pakistan on August 28.

Sri Lanka had to host

The event was to be hosted by Sri Lanka, but now the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host it along with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). All the six teams playing in this tournament have been announced. Looking at the recent performances, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are the top contenders while Afghanistan and Sri Lanka look weak on paper.

The teams are divided into two groups

Six teams will participate in the Asia Cup 2022 . While five teams are permanent, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuwait will compete to qualify as the sixth team. India and Pakistan will be in Group A along with the qualifier team. At the same time, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be part of Group B.
