The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an advisory to the states regarding the increasing cases of corona.

With the country reporting an average of over 15,000 COVID-19 cases daily, the Center has asked states to ensure that there are no large gatherings for the Independence Day celebrations and everyone follows the COVID-19 guidelines. The Union Home Ministry has asked all the States and Union Territories to continue for a fortnight and a month to conduct Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at prominent places in each district of the State and Union Territory and to keep them clean through voluntary citizen participation. Is.

Urges people to avoid crowds

The ministry said in a release, as a precautionary measure against COVID-19, large gatherings at the function should be avoided. It is important that the guidelines of Covid-19 are followed. According to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, with the arrival of 16,561 new cases of Covid-19 in the country, the number of infected people has increased to 4,42,23,557, while the patients under treatment are 1,23,535.

49 people died in the country during the last 24 hours

According to the data released by the ministry at eight in the morning, the death toll has increased to 5,26,928 due to the death of 49 people due to infection in the country. In these 49 cases of death, 10 people are also included, whose names have been put in the list of deaths due to infection by Kerala, reconciling the figures. The Home Ministry has also asked government departments and educational institutions to conduct tree plantation programs to spread awareness for environmental protection.

207.47 crore people got corona vaccine

Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, 207.47 crore doses of anti-Covid vaccines have been given in the country so far. Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country.
