ISRO Chairman S Somnath told that under the Chandrayaan-3 mission, ISRO will attempt a 'soft landing' on the Moon on August 23 or August 24.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced the launch date of the much-awaited mission Chandrayaan-3. Chandrayaan-3 will be launched on July 14 at 2:35 pm. Earlier, the agency had fixed the date between July 12 and 19. Chandrayaan-3's focus is on making a safe landing on the lunar surface. ISRO Chairman S Somnath told that under the Chandrayaan-3 mission, ISRO will attempt a 'soft landing' on the Moon on August 23 or August 24. This will be another major success of India in the field of space.

According to the information, after Chandrayaan-2, this mission is being sent for a safe landing on the surface of the Moon. Chandrayaan-2 mission failed in the last stage. Its lander hit the Earth's surface with a shock, after which it lost contact with the Earth's control room. Chandrayaan-3 is being sent to complete the same incomplete mission.

According to ISRO officials, the Chandrayaan-3 mission is the next phase of Chandrayaan-2, which will land on the lunar surface and conduct tests. It will look similar to Chandrayaan-2, which will have an orbiter, a lander and a rover. Chandrayaan-3's focus is on making a safe landing on the lunar surface. New equipment has been created for the success of the mission. The algorithms have been improved. The reasons for which the Chandrayaan-2 mission failed to land on the lunar surface have been focused on.

Earlier, the national space agency had said on Wednesday that the encapsulated assembly containing Chandrayaan-3 was combined with LVM3 at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. This mission will make India the fourth country in the world to soft land on the Moon after the US, Russia and China.
